The Master in Applied Geology and Geosciences at Siena University opens the doors to careers in research and geological applications, giving job opportunities in Italy and abroad. The curriculum includes specialistic courses in: Applied Geomorphology, Geophysics and Seismic Risk, Geology and Stratigraphy, Applied Geology and Hydrogeology, Applied Petrography, Geochemistry, Cultural Heritage and Geoarchaeology, GIS, Remote sensing, Petroleum and Geothermal Energy. Thematic and interdisciplinary field trips, fundamental for geologists’ education, take place in Italy and they are strongly economically supported with Departmental fundings. Moreover a 375 hours trainership is requested either at university laboratories or at external companies.
